Dr. Roger Ryan Rider is the founder and owner of Triple “R” Investigations, a Texas-based public safety and training firm bridging traditional investigative methods with emerging technologies. A retired police corporal with over two decades of service, Dr. Rider is a licensed private investigator (A04168201), crash reconstructionist, and national trainer specializing in AI integration, 3D scanning, and active shooter preparedness.


Holding a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University, Dr. Rider combines academic insight with real-world experience to help investigators, law enforcement, and safety professionals adopt innovative, ethical, and defensible investigative practices.


As the creator and host of The Virtual Reality Reconstructionist podcast, he continues to advance the conversation on how artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and digital forensics are transforming modern investigations.


Teaching Focus: Dr. Rider’s courses emphasize practical application, ethical responsibility, and technology readiness—equipping investigators to work smarter, safer, and more effectively in a rapidly evolving field.
